How To Look Up A Part

  1. Think of one word that best describes what the part is, for example: rotor
  2. Search for description, contains that word
  3. If many results come up, narrow search with %, for example: rotor%gillig

Tips for better searches:

  • Avoid plural words: search for rotor, not rotors
  • If the word is compound, like mudflap, try the second part: flap
  • If the part is in a kit or is part of an assembly, then KIT or ASSEMBLY will come first
  • Think of other nouns that describe the part: lamp instead of light?
  • If the word is an acronym, like ECM, try the last word: module
